Kim is a lifelong Alaskan and a dedicated mamma to five beautiful children: Amelia, Owen, Baby 3, Oliver, and Adeline. She began her work with bereaved families in Alaska 12 years ago. Kim’s passion lies in providing emotional support to grieving parents, a mission she pursues in honor of her beautiful daughter, Amelia, who was stillborn, and her precious Baby 3 who was miscarried at 12 weeks.
James & Christine Saling- AK Afterglow Co-Founders
Christine, a lifelong Alaskan and James, who moved from the Philippines to America with his parents for a military assignment and grew up in Wisconsin before being stationed in Alaska in 2000, are the parents of Kiara, Camden, and the late Kannon, who passed away at just 3 months old in 2009. Christine dedicates her efforts to honoring Kannon’s memory by supporting Alaskan families through fundraising and other initiatives. James is committed to helping fathers cope with loss and addressing paternal grief, making significant contributions to the loss community in Alaska.
